Dr. Sean Kings, MD, DC, CCFP

Medical Doctor
Co-Founder, Medical Director

Dr. Sean Kings is a board-certified physician in both Canada and the United States, as well as a board-certified Doctor of Chiropractic. This combination provides a unique point of view on the management options for a patient’s recovery.

Over his 20+ year career, Dr. Kings has supported patients in all levels of sport with injury assessment and management, including kinesiology, personal training, strength and conditioning, as well as chiropractic and sports medicine, to provide a comprehensive overview and Pathway to Care for patients and therapists.

Prior to formal medical studies, Dr. Kings studied Traditional Chinese Medicine in Guangzhou and Shanghai, PRC and worked as a Kinesiologist and strength and conditioning specialist both locally and internationally. He has worked as a private consultant for the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Hamilton Tiger Cats, and for internationally ranked professional tennis players, and has served as team doctor for Tennis Canada.

Dr. Ian MacIntyre, B.Sc., DC, FRCCSS(C)

Dr. Ian MacIntyre is a board-certified sports specialist chiropractor, certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Active Release Techniques (ART) provider, and medical acupuncture provider.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. MacIntyre works as a private consultant for various professional athletes and professional sports teams and is known for his work throughout the National Hockey League consulting on soft tissue injuries and rehabilitation management.

Dr. MacIntyre was one of only four soft tissue specialists invited to be part of the medical team supporting the National Hockey League Players Association inside the 2020 NHL COVID-19 ‘bubble’. He has authored in scientific peer reviewed journals, lectures on the topics of injury prevention and rehabilitation, and mentors graduating chiropractic students.

Dr. Serge Marchak

Dr. Serge Marchak, DC, CSEP

Dr. Serge Marchak is a board-certified chiropractor, CSEP trainer with concentration on rehabilitation aspect, MRT soft tissue provider, and functional integrated acupuncture provider. Dr. Marchak focuses on managing sports injuries and post-operative rehabilitation through acupuncture and chiropractic management treatments and is passionate about educating patients about how to prevent, recover, and train properly to achieve maximum outcome. Dr. Marchak works with the Canadian Soccer League (CSL), League One Ontario soccer, Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL), Ontario Hockey League (OHL) and National Hockey League (NHL). Dr. Marchak has a Doctor of Chiropractic from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC), and has studied Kinesiology at York University, as well as Fitness & Rehabilitation at George Brown College.

Samantha Loeprich

Samantha is a Registered Physiotherapist with a Master’s in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University and an Honours of Science in Kinesiology from McMaster University. Samantha has a passion for problem solving and works with her clients to determine the root cause of their condition to help decrease pain, optimize performance, and prevent future re-injury. Samantha has worked as a sports therapist with the Varsity Men’s Soccer and Lacrosse Teams at McMaster University, as well as the Men’s Hamilton FC professional soccer team, and is trained in Soft Tissue Release, Manual Therapy, Acupuncture, and Orthopaedic bracing.

Shea Quilichini

Shea Quilichini, MScPT, HBScKIN

Shea graduated with his Masters of Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University after completing a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary. He has previously lived and worked as a Kinesiologist in both Vancouver and Calgary in various settings including orthopaedics, paediatric, geriatric and neuro-rehabilitation. This background gives him the ability to treat all aspects of a patient’s recovery, from the beginning stages of an injury through to a patient’s full return to sports and activities of daily living. Shea joined the team at Regenerative Health with a focus on providing the most up-to-date research and treatment skills to his practice. Shea is an avid learner and is committed to continuously pursuing post-graduate training to advance his practice. He has completed courses through the manual and manipulative physiotherapy program of the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and is integrating dry-needling and acupuncture into his practice. His individualized treatment approach focuses on preventative and rehabilitative care with a special interest in addressing a patient’s health using manual therapy, exercise, and education.

Dr. Katie Au

Dr. Katie Au is a board-certified Rehab Specialist Chiropractor, with a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Kinesiology (University of Western Ontario). She is also a Contemporary Medical and Neurofunctional Acupuncture Practitioner (McMaster University) and a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Registered Acupuncturist. Dr. Katie specializes in working with athletes, both amateur and professional, to treat sports injuries and enhance performance. She is known for her experience with treating competitive runners, swimmers, triathletes, gymnasts, and elite hockey players (OHL, PWHL, NHL). She is a certified Active Release Techniques (ART®) provider, and Level 2 provider of Graston Technique (GT®). She is also a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), National Coaching Certificate holder, and has completed training in Concussion Management (Shift Canada). In addition to her expertise in sports injuries and orthopaedics, Dr. Katie provides support for women during their pregnancy journey, offering fertility acupuncture, prenatal and postpartum care as well as infant and paediatric chiropractic care. Dr. Katie utilizes a movement-based, functional approach when working with her patients and clients. She believes in implementing manual therapy, training, and exercise rehabilitation treatment programs to diagnose and treat not only the area of complaint, but the root cause of the problem.

Laura has a Master of Science in Sport Management from Texas A&M University, and a Bachelor’s of Kinesiology, with high honours, from the University of Toronto. Prior to joining Regenerative Health Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, Laura worked in various positions in the sports, health and fitness, and medical industries. Laura is driven by working in a team environment where a healthy exchange of ideas, paired with critical thinking, can support patient outcomes.

Renata Cunha de Souza

Renata is a Brazilian International Medical Graduate and accredited phlebotomist. Prior to moving to Canada 2 years ago, she obtained her Doctorate in Medicine from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. She specialized in anesthesiology from the State University of Campinas. Renata works directly alongside Dr. Kings, performing blood draws, preparing for, and assisting with, procedures, and providing patient care. She is always staying up-to-date with sports medicine related pathologies, protocols and interventions.

Theresa Vuong, OCD - Health Services (MES)

Theresa has a diploma in Office Administration with a specialty in health services from Seneca, graduating with Honors. Prior to joining Regenerative Health Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, Theresa has worked in various medical clinics and hospitals.
